You may have seen those incredibly stupid, fear mongering posters by the Met Police ( London cops reach new heights of anti-terror poster stupidity).
The net's response to this has been suitably robust including a remix competition ( Remixes of the paranoid London police "anti-terror"/suspect your neighbours posters ) but it has also been logical.
Popping into my in-box this morning was notification that a Freedom of Information request has been made about the posters ( A Freedom of Information request to Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) by Simone Barrett-White ).
It seems that unless there was a genuine attempt to bomb the location in the poster, it probably breaks the Advertising Standards Association rules.
How I will laugh if the Met Police have to take down all the posters.
Of course, any Londoners affect by these posters may want to complain to the ASA directly.
